Before we dig into this and how to use ClickBank, you should read our previous article about affiliate marketing so you have an understanding of how affiliate marketing works. I also wanted to briefly mention that can also make your own products and sell them on ClickBank as a vendor.
ClickBank is the largest and most popular affiliate marketing network on the internet. At ClickBank you can find all sorts of products, for all sorts of niches, in all sorts of price ranges, available for affiliate marketing for a wide range of commissions (starting from 10% to 70% and above).

How to use ClickBank?
I’m Registered, Now What?
Now you need to find a product to promote as an affiliate. You will want to find a product that is not only relevant to your niche but also a product that will sell. How do you do that, you ask? You will need to have two browser tabs open: Clickbank Marketplace and Google Trends.
Find a ClickBank Product
Let’s say our niche is dogs and you want to sell dog related products. We will type dog training in the box by find products.
Gravity means how many affiliates are making money off of this product each month. You want a product that is making other people money, but you don’t want too much competition. Let’s take a closer look at the listing we chose.
$/sale $2.30 – means how much you will make per sale
%/sale 70.0% – You will get 70% from each sale
%/rebill – this will be a recurring bill which means a recurring sale for you
Grav 37.01 – There are 37 affiliates making money off this product right now
If I click promote a new window will open. I click this if I decide to sell this product on my website.
Before we decide to sell, let’s take a look at the sales page. I will click on the title Doggy Dans Online
Looks pretty good and professional. They are also endorsed by the SPCA. I would be comfortable promoting this product.
Next we will check two things. Remember when I told you to have Google Trends open? Let’s go there now. I type dog training in the search box and see how popular this item is.
Google shows how many searches have been done for a particular term and the data is normalized and presented on a scale from 0-100. The number of searches has dropped a little over time but not too much. We also asked to be shown the forecast numbers, which shows a small increase. I still feel good about this product.
We can also go to CB Engine and click on browse. I will look for my category for this product which was Home & Garden : Animal Care & Pets. Then I will look for this product. First I will regroup results by category.
This product is ranked number 4 – great! If you click on the orange i at the very end (on right side), you can find even more info about the product.
Now we have found all the information and have decided to go ahead and promote this product.
Account nickname is the name used on ClickBank and will auto-populate here. The tracking ID I usually put something that will help me remember what product I promoted. This is helpful if you are promoting multiple products with ClickBank. Click create and a new window will open with your affiliate ink.
Still not convinced? Think ClickBank is a scam? Many people will give negative comments because they have not made any money. Probably because they thought they could just pick a product, drop it on a page on their website and tah-dah, the money would just magically appear. It doesn’t work that way.
You do have to put some work in. Find a relevant product and do a bit of keyword research. Promote your page on social media sites.
